Science Museums

Popular indoor/outdoor museum featuring over 3,500 aerospace artifact & interactive activities.

I enjoyed it a lot. It was relatively small, but it was packed with a lot of air and space memorabilia. It had a full-sized model of the Wright brothers plane all the way up to modern stealth bombers. Most of all it had displays of space travel from Sputnik to Apollo and the like. It was a great afternoon of exploration and learning.

NFN N — Google review

Definitely worth a stop! Beautiful and professional exhibits outline the history of flight from the first flight to current space exploration. Tour is at your own pace so if you are local you could make an afternoon of it. A traveller just passing through? We leisurely visited for about an hour. Make the stop! ✈️👩🏻‍🚀🚀🛰️

Traveling from KY to AZ. Stopped here via Harvest Hosts. We only had 1.5 hours to go through the museum. If you are like us and enjoy the reading and learning you could easily spend half a day here. They have all kinds of things from early flight, to modern planes, rockets, different space programs etc. There is even a "Shuttle" playground outside. Nice gift shop. We really enjoyed this place. We will come back next time we are going through the area.

Paul M — Google review

This was an awesome museum! I came 30 minutes before close and was still able to see most of everything. They had a wide variety of real spacecraft!

Aiden M — Google review

There is so much information here! Life size replicas and pieces of actual shuttles that have been to space. Don’t miss this gem!Plus a great space themed playground outside for your littles 🚀

Kayla N — Google review

Fantastic, highly recommend if you’re an air and space buff. Looks like they are expanding the building because it is currently jam packed. VERY educational. Flight exhibits from day 1 to present day.

Sharon F — Google review

Good luck making it into the museum because they happen to have an INCREDIBLE playground on the premises. As soon as we parked our daughter sprinted towards the area - complete with rocket themed play sets, swings, covered tables, and restrooms. The museum itself is staffed by some of the nicest people and the exhibits were extremely well done!

Rob D — Google review

Wow! Best museum ever. Incredible exhibits and since my kids are young, my family of six got in for $20. Can’t beat that!

A popular rappelling area with red sandstone cliffs, plus trails, a public pool & a campground.

Stumbled on this place here on Google maps and glad I did.We were looking for a place to do a short winter camping trip and Red Rock Canyon AP did not disappoint. The camps sites were great, bathrooms and showers (as we are “tent”campers) were super clean, and the staff was super helpful. We loved the trails and hiked a different trail everyday. We also loved the convenience of being close to town and 2 casinos.

David T — Google review

Stayed here with my family in one of the glamping tents. Everything was cleanand cozy. Amazing amenities included a space heater, mini fridge, AC, fire pit, firewood, covered pavilion with tables, grills, outside sink and clean bathrooms! Another great bonus was falling asleep listening to the babbling creek. The hiking in the area is also great, we loved exploring!

Megan R — Google review

I don’t know that it’s worth paying to drive around and because that’s all we did was look around, but it’s nice. A lot smaller than we thought it would be. We live in NE OK by Oologah Lake, this is not a place that we would drive all the way out to, to camp but people who live out this way or want someplace different out of the city would find it nice. It is beautiful and dog friendly, which is always awesome.

Tracey S — Google review

A beautiful state park. It's now privately managed, but I have to say the accommodations have only gotten better. The trails are well maintained, great for hiking. There is areas you can repel and in dinner months there is a pool. They now have glamping tents, and they are very affordable. It's a great weekend day less than an hour from west OKC

I absolutely love coming out here. This is my favorite spot to take pictures of my clients. I have been coming here for a few years now. Bud is an awesome guy and very informational. Cannot wait to come out here and go camping soon to watch the stars with my kids! This place is very well kept. Not even a cigarette, can be found on the ground. Absolutely phenomenal!

Samantha C — Google review

Beautiful! Nature at its best! Was kind of surprised by some of the "glamping" features. Not what I expected, a little less than pretty. But wish we could have spent more time looking! Will definitely go back!

I absolutely loved my overnight experience at RRC. The tent was beautifully lit inside and out with electrical outlets for my electronics. Having the tent waiting made setting up camp for the night quick and easy. They even provided firewood so I could enjoy the evening under the stars. The restrooms were clean, and the showers were both clean and private. I would definitely recommend 💯.

Zoo

Zoos & Aquariums

Tiger Safari Zoological Park, located in Tuttle, Oklahoma, is a 45-acre habitat for a variety of wildlife including tigers, bears, lemurs, lions, leopards and other African wildcats. The non-profit organization not only provides a home for these majestic creatures but also offers interactive encounters and educational tours to teach visitors about the importance of caring for them. The park features sunset safaris and interactive games suitable for all ages.

What a wonderful experience!!! There's a nice variety of animals, and several allow feeding interactions. We were able to hold or pet quite a few animals at the VIP Encounter, too.We stayed in an incredibly decorated tree house (stilted cabin) with views of tigers and a bear. The treehouses have the best views, in my opinion, but they don't have bathrooms in them. You have to cross the parking lot to the public bathrooms. That's the only downside to this place in my opinion. Tiger Safari is not a sanctuary or rescue, and they don't pretend to be. It's a private collection. I appreciate their honesty about that. You can stop by for the tour or stay overnight and roam the grounds multiple times. Cool place!!

Alisa A — Google review

We had a great experience, the workers are kind and seem to care a lot about the animals. The habitats were okay, I’m definitely an animal enthusiast and I feel that some of them were small, some animals looks a little sick. But the VIP experience was so great, like I said the workers were awesome. We stayed in hut #2 and it was great for our three boys and two parents. Some cons: it had one bathroom, it wasn’t the cleanest (dusty, a bit smelly..I mean it is at a zoo, and the sheets smelled a bit used), the TVs didn’t work since WiFi is non existent in the housing. If you wanted to watch a movie you had to get a DVD from the office. The boys said it was one of their favorite experiences ever! That made it all worth it. Also, we heard lions roaring at night! So that was cool too. I recommend going.

Lauren C — Google review

The vip is worth getting. They bring out some animals to show and tell, and some you can hold, and others just touch. The staff is wonderful, answering questions with ease. Everyone is really nice. The place is big so be prepared to walk you see many types of creatures. Some of the places lion very run down, but I'm guessing those places are more for summertime use. Beside that awsome place for kids to enjoy a nice day and learn some new things about animals they didn't know.

Efrain Q — Google review

We stayed overnight in the huts. The pictures don’t do it justice. The huts have AC and were a nice, cool break from the sun outside. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. There is a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We opted to eat out in the town and it was great.Staying at the zoo we were able to have an animal encounter shortly after arriving. We got to know the animals and then take a break at the huts. We went back later that evening when jt was cool to see the animals again. At night you can sit outside and listen to the lions roar!It felt amazing waking up and sipping coffee by the pond, watching the turtles. The zoo is so open, relaxing, and clean! The animals all seem so happy! We will defiantly be back in the fall to visit again.

Hana A — Google review

Very fun experience. Bill was a great host and dang good customer service. Plenty of aninlas to see for 2-3 hours.

George W — Google review

Took my son and my grandkids today for the first time. Loved it. It’s open, you feel up close to the animals, it wasn’t crowded, and we had a blast. Will definitely go back

Carla — Google review

We have a family tradition of celebrating our children's birthdays with a birthday adventure which led us to the Tiger Safari Zoo. We tried out their brand new Waters Edge Tree House coupled with the Mega VIP animal tour and had such a memorable experience!Tree House ProsThe layout and aesthetic of this tree house is beautiful; it made us feel at home the moment we walked in. We enjoyed the split living room, each side with it's own fireplace. I especially loved the fierce lion decor throughout the house and the sitting area on the outdoor balcony with fire pit and grill. My children immensely enjoyed looking out the upstairs round window that overlooks the water, zebras, and distant scenery. There is a large, cozy bed swing underneath the tree house.Tree House ConsThe kitchen table is sturdy and while the attached swivel seats are great for kids, they do lean with the weight of an adult. There is currently no sink in the tree house so we had to walk downstairs to the detached bathroom to get water from that sink. However, the water in the bathroom sink only trickles out so we ended up going out and buying a gallon of water to keep with us in the house. They ARE currently working on installing a sink and tub in the tree house. The Mega VIP animal tour was perfect! We met Neenee, the very personable, grinning hyena. We fed Raja, the rare (& stunningly beautiful) golden tabby tiger. Petting and feeding a troop of kangaroos was a first for us! There is so much more involved in this tour; I highly recommend it!

Natalie L — Google review

We had such a good time! Cabin was neat and cozy, beds were actually really comfortable. The property was well maintained and so peaceful. Every staff member we encountered were very nice and answered questions with detail and professionalism. Candy (I believe that was her name) and Amy are who we encountered the most and they were great. The VIP tour lets you encounter quite a bit of animals so very much worth it. This is something my family would def do again

Beautifully kept, this was a great stop on our trip west. We met Deb, and she told us all about the fort and the work it takes writing grants to keep it open. She is quite a historian! The museum is accessible, but there are upstairs areas that are not. The grounds are well kept and offer wide walkways. Parking right outside.

Tatiana H — Google review

If you visit, make sure you talk to Deb. She's the sweetest and very knowledgeable. If you like history, make sure you plan on going to see the Christmas guns and their wreath placing ceremony. It was fantastic to watch a real old canon being fired as well as the pistols that were fired in between. While the museum itself is very small, it was a fascinating visit. I definitely suggest going if you have an inkling for history. While it is "kid-friendly", my 9 year old child was most amused with running around in circles outside with his friend. Again, worth the drive and conversation with Deb, a historian extraordinaire, was the absolute best!

Rhonda H — Google review

Beautiful grounds. We did not go into the museum. It was closed for a little while during our visit. Being run by volunteers, be patient if they aren’t there. A note will be in the door. We enjoyed walking around in the sun taking photos. Don’t forget to visit the Cemetery.

Amy J — Google review

This was a pretty neat museum. It was $6 for adults, and $4 for kids. Unfortunately, one of the 2 buildings you are actually allowed to go inside wasn't open when we were there. But, there is still a decent amount to see even if you don't pay to go inside the museum. I also recommend driving up the hill to the cemetery. There's definitely some good history here.

Staci W — Google review

Such a cool place and a wonderful piece of history! Stop in and speak with the amazing woman in the museum. She is knowledgeable and tells the history of the Fort!

Alicia G — Google review

Army and Calvary history worth exploring. Potential of this property being used as a public venue for events Oklahoma and seasonal is underutilized. Would be a great place for fairs, concerts , historical reenactments, harvest fest, farmers markets , as well as a place to remember and learn about the history of the area. I would love to see Fort Reno stay preserved and get the recognition it deserves.

Ak A — Google review

Unfortunately we arrived were there was a meeting. Still got to look around and it was very remarkable! Definitely check it out of you are road-tripping it’s a quick detour and worth it just for the views

This is a national treasure that few will bother to explore. Located west of El Reno, Oklahoma on a section of historic US Route 66, with a history dating to the Indian Wars of the 1870's and more recently supporting military services around the world by providing trained horses and mules. This site served as a WWII prisoner of war camp too. Fort Reno has several original buildings and the historic cemetery where early soldiers, staff, dependents and some of the agency mission staff are laid to rest. An adjacent section was added for the POWs that passed while in custody. One of the horses raised and trained here, "Black Jack," was featured as the riderless horse in over 1000 funerals at Arlington national cemetery, including significant state funerals. These include Presidents John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Herbert Hoover, and General Douglas MacArthur.Much of the original post lands were granted to US department of agriculture, and it is used for research for cattle grazing and prairie ecology. The smaller post parade grounds and buildings that house the museum and exhibits are reasonably well preserved, and the musem staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful. Much of their operating budget is donations from visitors and local preservation groups. If you visit, please be generous and help preserve this treasure not just for local history, but as a legacy of the nation.

Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma is a lively hotel with straightforward rooms and multiple eateries. The casino offers a variety of games and features live entertainment. Guests can enjoy an Indian buffet as well as other dining options such as Burger King and Panda Express. The casino also has a non-smoking section for those who prefer it. Additionally, visitors can attend concerts in the large downstairs area or opt for mezzanine seating.

It was a nice looking casino. We just did a walk through. Food prices at the location were kind of high & the food quality was rather limited except for they did have some national fast chains kind of like food court Style, a sit-down dining restaurant and a rather expensive buffet. It was pretty smoky in there but not as smoky as our first stop which was Newcastle Casino.

M M — Google review

Clean, large casino with a lot of different machines. Highest payout was $4 the entire time that I played, went thru my budgeted money quickly playing the minimum bet. Food Court has a variety of fast food (including an IHOP). Will go to a casino that is closer to my house next time (30 mile drive).

Fran A — Google review

Points for being one of the cleanest casinos in Central Oklahoma, the air circulation equipment keeps away the stale smoke smell. The casino layout is well designed, and they have a good mix of the latest machines. Now the downside, by far the TIGHTEST machine payouts of ANY casino in Oklahoma, its not uncommon to blow through $300 in 30 minutes without a single win (at a midrange $3 bet). I've been playing at this casino since it first opened in 2005 and have NEVER won a large jackpot, I consider myself lucky if I can continue even playing for a few hours. The table games are operated very unprofessionally as compared to Vegas or even the Hard Rock in Tulsa; the dealer's uniforms are often wrinkled, shirts not tucked in, and they often drop cards while dealing. The dealers appear to have very little training in table etiquette or professionalism. The barking continual announcements over the PA system by customer service are loud and annoying, and while casinos are noisy places the continually announcements give the casino floor the audible feel of being in O'Hare IAP at rush hour.

SeaBass — Google review

It was pricey for the quality and options for food. 32.99 per person, and there were some seafood, chicken, side items like sweet potatoes, salad bar, baked potato bar, and of course desserts. My man is from Mississippi and he is used to seafood being prepared properly. He got some of the crab legs, and it was disappointing to see that they were cold. Crab legs are easier to break the shell and remove the meat if they are hot.Nothing was labeled. I thought I got some fried catfish, and it turned out it was fried gator meat. It wasn't too bad, but it would have been nice to see some labels. They had some sort of beef they were slicing and serving, and it looked like overcooked dog food.I had some fried chicken, and it was actually pretty good, but I was sad to see there weren't any good sides to go with it. They had old Mac n cheese and steamed green beans. No mashed potatoes or anything. I had some green beans, and they were cold.I used to be a health inspector, and it concerned me that a lot of these items were out of temperature. I'm not sure if they were going off of time for their control or what, but I was worried they didn't switch out the items out of temp before the 4 hour mark. The desserts were ok. I had a lemon bar, and that was actually the best thing I had. The pecan pie was nothing but corn syrup and sugar. Barely any pecans. And then I had this oreo ice cream cake which was really good but it was definitely store bought. They have all this professional cooking equipment, and they dont even use it. They could definitely do way better. If ya'll ever go down to the coast in Mississippi, I highly recommend going to the Beau Riviage for their buffet. It's roughly the same price or cheaper, and you get so many food options. And everything is made FRESH in their kitchen.

Karina R — Google review

Greedy as they get! You can go here and lose a ton of money and they will charge you $10 to pick up your car at valet without telling you beforehand that it was going to cost to use valet. No casino I have ever been to charges for valet. You tipThe staff and that’s all. It’s a free service to your players. This place is concerned about $10! Mind blowing! Never will be back! Easy decision. Plus, the machines are picked up super tight and you won’t win a dime here anyways. Also, be sure to eat first before you go, the food in this place will kill you! Nastiest fried fish and chips over ever had in my life! Couldn’t eat it! Soaked in grease! 🤮

Nick S — Google review

We attended the Aaron Lewis concert on 2/20/25. Though we loved the concert, I have a few comments about the venue for others considering attending a concert here: 1. The seating rows are SO close together, it's very difficult to get to your seat when others are seated. You literally have your butt in their face. Awkward. What went through my head is if there was a fire in there, nobody would be able to get out. My husband is in the fire protection industry so I think about these things. 2. The beer and drinks are ridiculously overpriced. I paid $400 for 2 concert tickets then get gouged for drinks! 3. The best surprise? We valet parked and found out it was $20! This is not posted at valet. They should have a sign stating this for unsuspecting people. I will never attend a concert here again. The cherry on top was the obnoxious very drunk jerk behind me who yelled at top volume, burped in my ear, cussed, and ruined the whole experience. Security should have removed him.

Lisa S — Google review

Oddly seen the Lighthorse Police patrol vehicles through here and honestly I thought they weren't legit police vehicles so just a heads up it may not look like it but it is. Kinda ironic not everything in this world is as it seems. But fun place busy sometimes but good place overall. Hard to get to currently due to highway construction but soon they should be done. 🤞 Great place for those looking for work too if they have openings anywhere.

Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History offers extensive displays showcasing the natural and cultural history spanning back four billion years, along with a diverse range of artwork. The museum is particularly appealing to children as they can enjoy exploring dinosaur exhibits, observing various animals and engaging in hands-on activities. Additionally, visitors can benefit from extra educational activities on weekends and special offers for members. The facility features clean restrooms and an elevator for those with mobility needs.

Got a private tour from the lead archaeologist thanks to my grandpa. Got to see all the behind the scenes stuff, like legit bones and fossils still being uncovered. Never had a cooler museum experience.

Unfortunately, I have a bad back, so I had to sit down a lot, and that probably affected my enjoyment of the place. And my rating! Truth be told, this place was boring in some places and interesting in others. This museum seems set up for archeology and anthropology students, which is probably why it's on the OU campus. But I enjoy (or would enjoy, if my back didn't hurt) visiting museums, so I did enjoy it (or again, would have).

There is alot to do and see especially if they have an event like the butterfly thing.Everyone was great! The girls helping out with the butterfly feeder and the thing catching the butterflies( and taught us about the real vs cast bones, was the best) , and the lady who helped us with the microscope were my favorite of them all. They were so energetic and involved the boys. We've been through alot and we needed this!!! Now back to Tulsa.

The paleontology and Indigenous People exhibits are excellent. The modern natural history section leaves a bit to be desired. A fun way to spend an afternoon.

This was a lot of fun, and the best part was meeting Nance, who, after telling her it was our first time visiting, gave us a tour in the bone section. She had personally been on several digs herself along with years at some of the best museums. She was knowledgeable and funny and made the experience that much more fun.Besides that, the rest of the museum was awesome and educational, and we had an excellent time. Can't wait to go back with the kids.

Sights & Landmarks

The Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is a red-brick football arena that serves as the home field for the University of Oklahoma's Sooners. On game day, the atmosphere is electric and lively. The stadium has over 85,000 seats available and offers a variety of vendors selling souvenirs, food, drinks, and other items commonly found at college football games. During halftime, mascots can be seen walking around and taking pictures with fans.

I have been to every stadium of the teams in the SEC. I am an Alabama fan and my team lost but, by far, Oklahoma has the most-hospitable fans of any team in the conference. Fans were welcoming upon arrival, the stadium was awesome. Great atmosphere for a college football game!!!

It's just a great place to go. The energy is just phenomenal here. That's honestly the quick and easy of this review --- it may not be the biggest, or OU may not be top in the nation, but the crowd is always a boomer situation. It's always a blast to go to a game here. Love it.

I recently attended the 212 Foundation’s Ladies Clinic. It was the most extraordinary Sooner experience ever! I'm incredibly proud to be a Sooner Alumni and donate to a cause that aligns with the values of building a community and family! Not only does the Sooner Football program show up on the field, but I'm pleased to learn that their mission work extends both at home in the community and abroad or during disaster relief. Women’s health is a priority for me because I had not one but several of the leading diagnoses related to women's health problems, such as a ruptured brain aneurysm, heart attacks, tumors in female organs, and the list goes on. For an organization primarily made up of men, I am grateful for their understanding and compassion toward women and the struggles we endure! Coach V and staff have done so in the past few years to continue to pour into the heart and soul of the Sooner Nation. Thank you, and the stadium looks fantastic, especially the new graffiti wall!

First ever visit to the Palace on the Prairie. Have to say this place has the most electric atmosphere of any NCAA Div I football stadiums. We had a blast and enjoyed the game. Fans are very passionate but yet friendly towards others. No issues getting in, security keeps the crowds moving. Recommend getting to the area two hours prior to kickoff to get parking, walk to the stadium and find your seats. Plus that gives you enough time to get food/drinks. The bleachers seats are wide enough, clearly labeled. Only complaint is that the rows are narrow but that's like most college football stadiums.Concession prices are comparable to any top tier NCAA football team or professional football.Highly recommend attending a game here. It's a great experience.

Spectacular place to watch a college football game. Great sight lines and atmosphere. The statues out front, the game day atmosphere and activities for kids make this a special Saturday. But....the Toby Keith tribute with his politically-charged song needs to go.

Warm quarters in a relaxed lodge offering dining, golf, a pool, nature trails & water activities.

I wasn't impressed the 1st time bc my heart was still in Black Mesa, but this visit was great. I found the falls and a new trail on the Lower Loop. The wildlife was awesome!Give yourself quite a few hours to explore and plenty of water. There are caves, falls, and beautiful scenery in the quiet.

The park worker that we encountered was so kind and helpful! I unfortunately do not know her name. The pond did have some scum floating all over it. It was not an enjoyable place to fish. The lake was dry whenever we went. We were told after we arrived that the lake should be filled again in July. There are geese that are nearby, so watch out for poop. The sites at Two Lakes are nice. The general store is cute. There are some pretty views on Switchback and Inspiration Point.

Went for the afternoon with my family. We went for a bit of light hiking and it was great to see the path were very well maintained and it was beautiful scenery. My only complaint is it's on an active golf course. I'm sure if I would have done more research I would have read that somewhere, but it was a great light walk.

Drove here on a whim on spring break cause my son and I are starting to get more into hiking and camping. We were very impressed with the trails. He asked if we could come back the next day with our camping gear.I both appreciated and was somewhat saddened that the trails (we took) were paved - I really like it when we’re using natural trails but it was very enjoyable nonetheless.I did have some questions for the front desk staff and they were very friendly and helpful.

Roman nose is a beautiful place in the summer or winter. In the wintertime, the atmosphere is magical and serene... you can hike, picnic, camp, and explore. In the summertime, it feels like a beautiful adventure with hiking, wading in the water and natural springs, camping, and more. It's a beautiful place with so much to see and experience for everyone.

Great place to go tent camping. Restrooms/Showers are excellent and have Heat/Air, Running Water and Septic and are kept clean and stocked with Toilet Paper. Nice trails to Hike with great views. Worth the trip! Also a great place for star gazing at night, can see all of the constellations as well as the Milky Way. General store here is also very helpful and keeps pretty much any supplies you need in stock.

Oklahoma:Roman Nose State Park in Watonga, Oklahoma is one of the most beautiful and peaceful outdoor destinations in the state. Nestled in a canyon, the park offers a perfect mix of scenic beauty, hiking trails, history, and outdoor activities. The hiking trails range from easy to moderate, with gorgeous views of the bluffs, wildflowers, and natural springs. The Lake Watonga area is calm and great for kayaking, paddleboarding, or just enjoying a peaceful walk along the shoreline. There are also spots to picnic, fish, or simply sit back and enjoy the scenery. We visited in spring, and everything was green, vibrant, and alive with birds and butterflies. The park is clean, well-maintained, and family-friendly. There’s a lodge on-site, cabins, and camping options for those who want to stay overnight. The Roman Nose Lodge is a great place to grab a meal or spend the night with modern amenities and rustic charm.Staff at the lodge and visitor center were helpful, and maps were available for exploring. Plenty of parking and restrooms available too.Tip: Bring water, good shoes for hiking, and a camera. Sunset views from the bluffs are absolutely worth the wait.Highly recommended for nature lovers, hikers, photographers, or anyone needing a refreshing getaway in Oklahoma.

Wasn’t that impressed with my first time there…went to the trout derby and the lake was drained so we had to fish out of what looked like a pond u could see the bottom and they were riding paddle boats and they expect u to catch fish with people on the water? then the cabin I had to clean it before I used the sink or shower and it’s waaay over priced costed almost $300 for one night and there was construction right out my window they were working on the sewage and I could smell it…might be good for a day trip but definitely won’t be camping there again

Experience the grandeur of the Express Clydesdales Barn in Yukon, Oklahoma. Take a complimentary tour of this operational ranch and delve into the rich Western legacy of these stunning purebred horses. Witness bath day events and stroll through paddocks to meet these magnificent creatures up close. The knowledgeable staff is eager to answer questions about these colossal co-workers who travel nationwide. Admire their beauty and size as some horses eagerly interact with visitors.

We booked a free tour to see the horses. Ee arrived and were given instructions on where we were allowed to look. We took 4 young kids (18months-4.5years), and they loved it! It was a very clean facility, so no worries there. They had a place to sanitize hands. There are a couple of different places to see the horses. The barn is completely climate controlled, so it was comfortable even though it was chilly outside. Many of the horses were social and enjoyed the pets. Outside at the back barn, there is a covered porch where you can open a window to each horses' stable to say hello. These were the friendliest horses that we found! No entering the bak barn (I think the training barn). There were a few friendly farm dogs greeting us outside, as well. As far as a "tour" goes, there was no formal tour. You are basically booking a time slot to view the facility and pet the horses. There's also a giftshop with apparel, a couple of coin slot horse rides for kids (they will give you the coins to ride), and indoor restrooms. We spent around an hour here, but everything to offer can be experienced in about 20 minutes.

Danielle M — Google review

Awsome experience. We walked around the barn for no charge and said hi to the clydes that were feeding. Also got to walk around to the backbarn and pet the few who stuck their heads out to say hi. Awe, inspiring to be among these giants, a short but rewarding outing.

Prism F — Google review

If you're in the area go stop by here and you can see the beautiful horses and if you make an appointment tour you can learn history about the horse reams, feed them and more. It's a really cool spot to check out.

Cameron M — Google review

I enjoyed seeing the horses, but the website made it seem as if we would be getting a guided tour. Instead it was a self-led tour where you could just walk around and pet the horses. So that was a little disappointing. I thought there would be more information about who they were, what they did, etc.

K N — Google review

Truly amazed by these beautiful giants. Went with two toddlers and the horses were so gentle and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Reye — Google review

Fantastic experience where you get to interact with the horses in the barn and outside on the ranch. The facility is clean and the staffs are friendly. Note that they are busy during the holiday season and many of them are out for parades. Additionally, it’s a nice drive to the barn with beautiful, open landscape.

Ina L — Google review

We had an amazing time and the guided tour was well worth it! The guide was very knowledgeable and so sweet to the kids with us. It was a very hot day but didn't feel too warm in the barn and shade!

Sarah L — Google review

We had a fantastic time at Express Ranch Clydesdales during our visit over the fall break. Although we encountered a minor issue, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make it right. We look forward to returning in the future to interact with and observe these gentle and endearing giants. It was an unforgettable experience for my littles!

Casinos & Gambling

Thunderbird Casino is a long-lasting establishment providing various table games, slot machines, a lounge, a dining area and live weekend musical performances. The selection of slot machines is impressive while the beverages offered at the bar are affordable. Their grill serves delicious food with one of their specialties being catfish platter. However, whether they payout or not can be unpredictable as sometimes winning big is possible but other times $50 may only last for 10 minutes.

Nice casino! I sat down at a slot machine for a while on Saturday night and in the distance I heard some good music. When I got up, I realized they had a house band playing live. They were great! I hadn’t planned to be at the casino all night but the band kept me there until 1am. Good drinks at the bar, lots of good basketball games on the TVs. It was like I had just walked in heaven! Ladies were dancing. Everyone was enjoying the music. Every song they played were songs I love! I felt a little hoarse when I woke up this morning because I was singing along all night. Haloed is a great band and I hope they come back to the casino again soon. The guy setting next to me said he won $10,000 on a slot before he came to the concert. I’ll be back.

Been coming here for years. Not a bad place. I've won and I've lost money. It has a nice cafe inside with free drinks and ice cream. Plenty of parking and additional motorcycle parking in front of the building.

We went last year and this year for 4th of July. The fireworks show is one of the best I've seen. The concerts have been great. Great vendors for food and arts and crafts. Definitely going next year. They also have a pow wow the days after. Haven't got to see that, but I'm sure it's pretty good, too. Weather permitting.

Excellent facility. Recently attended a pow-wow in the casino for the beautiful Oklahoma Indian Biker Princess. There is also an additional space connected by a small hallway that served as a vendor room and supper line. Hand sanitizing stations were available at every door. Very clean. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Museum

Sights & Landmarks

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is a poignant tribute to the victims of the 1995 Murrah Building bombing. The memorial features a reflective pool and a garden, along with 168 chairs representing each victim of the attack, including 19 children who were in the building's daycare. The museum provides in-depth information about the bombing and Timothy McVeigh's trial, offering visitors context for their visit.

Visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is a profoundly moving experience that stays with you long after you leave. From the moment you approach the beautiful Outdoor Symbolic Memorial — with the serene reflecting pool and the hauntingly empty chairs representing each life lost — you are immediately enveloped in a space of deep reflection, respect, and remembrance. The museum itself is impeccably curated. It walks you through the events of April 19, 1995, with incredible care and sensitivity, honoring the victims, survivors, first responders, and all those forever changed by that day. Through personal stories, powerful artifacts, and multimedia displays, you are given a vivid and emotional understanding of the tragedy — not just what happened, but who it happened to.What stands out most is the overwhelming sense of hope, unity, and resilience that rises from the sorrow. The Survivor Tree, still standing tall and strong, is a living symbol of that spirit. Every exhibit, every corner of the memorial, seems to whisper a message: that even in the darkest moments, humanity's light can endure. This is not just a place to learn about history; it is a place to feel it — to honor it — and to carry its lessons forward. No words can truly capture the depth of emotion that the Oklahoma City Memorial and Museum evokes. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking to understand the power of community, healing, and remembrance.

Samantha C — Google review

It's good to honor those who lost their lives and those first responders who helped the survivors as well as all that went into the memorial. Very well done, however heart wrenching it is to experience and bear witness to all the memorial stands for. I'm so glad I was able to go.

Lea S — Google review

The museum and grounds are very well done. This is an important part of our history. I highly recommend everyone come and learn. You will see the worst and best parts of humanity.I would say a minimum of 2 hours. One could spend much longer. I really appreciated speaking with the ranger by the reflection pool. There is free parking in the garage on the north side of the museum.

M C — Google review

What a stunning experience. 30 years later, it's still powerful and moving, and creates a somber yet beautiful place to honor those who were lost that day. I would encourage anyone in the OKC area to come through and see this wonderful memorial.

Vincent S — Google review

We visited on a weekday and this is one of the best and moving museums we have visited. They walk you through the day of and handle the remembrance very tastefully for such a tragic event. I would highly recommend anyone visiting OKC to visit and learn more about this part of our history. I would also recommend walking the outdoor grounds, which are free to visit.

MTH — Google review

It feels surreal to be writing a review of Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum on the 30th anniversary of the event that changed Oklahoma City and the world forever. The nature of violence and its impact on the residents are quite accurately captured in the museum.I visited here back in September 2022 and was stunned and shaken to observe what happened on April 19, 1995. The museum takes you through the events of the day as if you are reliving it again--starting with the seemingly mundane events of the day leading up to 9:02am which is when the incident happened at the Murrah building. What follows is a deep exploration of the tragedy and the resilience shown by the community in coming together and dealing with both the violence and its aftermath. The museum captures the stories of people who passed and you stop and wonder what they could have been, and also the survivors and the scars that the incident left on them. The perpetrators, how they were caught, the trial and their eventual fates are all shown as well. When we think about violence, we think about it as something alien and as if it could never happen to us. But when it happens in the heart of a bustling downtown that is Oklahoma City, you wonder if you are ever safe from violence. The museum and the memorial grounds outside remind you that violence is always around the corner. Your gaze then wonders toward the survivor tree standing tall, and you find some solace and hope. All in all, Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is an important place to visit if you are in the area. The augmented reality experience is available on the eponymous app as well. It might just well be the best museum I have ever visited. There is so much to learn here and I highly recommend it.

Akshat K — Google review

Great experience, I had only seen the tragedy on TV when it happened, but the self guided tour of the museum was very well put together and lots of information, very interesting and heartbreaking, thank you for bringing details to light and all information you could to the public!! The staff was amazing , we spent about 5 hours over a couple of days.

Jason I — Google review

The memorial is beautifully done and free to the public. It is open well past business hours. I went around 7pm. It is Very Heavy mentally and emotionally to walk in-between the gates of time. This was the first time I have ever been and I went for the 30yr rememberabce. It was emotional and yet calming at the same time. The reality has been perfectly captured with a peaceful place that all the soundsnof the city disappear when you enter. For all those who lost a loved one on that day. I am sorry and thank you for allowing me to be a part of the rememberabce.

Planetarium

Science Museum Oklahoma is a top science museum in the state and one of the largest in the USA. It features interactive exhibits where visitors can engage with various activities, including playing instruments, exploring engineering and technology, and learning about aviation history. The museum also houses a planetarium and the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame, showcasing memorabilia from legendary gymnasts. With 8 acres of space dedicated to STEM-based attractions, it offers an educational experience for all ages.

We had a fantastic today at the science museum. However I was playing with my daughter on some of the playground equipment and did notice these nuts aren’t properly tied down. This could lead to a kid pushing on the plastic window and potentially causing them selfs or the window to fall. This should be fixed immediately I believe.

This place is worth the visit especially if you have curious kids. They will definitely love this place. A lot of things to do. They have a gift shop. Their planetarium is state of the art. If you want to teach your kids about something and be hands on with it, this is the place to be. I just think they can improve some of their features like more lighting and more modern exhibits. Also, if you just want to bring your own snacks and drinks, they have available tables and chairs. Their cafeteria serves snacks too! Overall a good place to visit and will recommend :3

This is the best hands on children's museum we've been to. It has lots of various stations and activities for kids to experience. If you're more into reading placards, this won't be for you. While there's some, it's predominantly a hands on experience/play center for the kids. It's very well done and is very big compared to a lot of other museums. It's also part of ASTC so that's a big PLUS!

Chih C — Google review

My son begs to come here. My son never runs out of energy and here he can safely explore and learn. He enjoys the variety of activities. He's able to understand how to work the exhibits easily without too much direction. They even have bugs 🐛, spiders 🕷 and reptiles! The food is reasonable and the facility is cleaner than any other kids museum in Oklahoma. We are a military family, so we get out and explore as often as possible. Museums are always at the top of our list. We love to see the rotation and spot what's updated since our last visit. We will continue to return as often as time allows. We live an hour away, near Seminole. But this is still our #1 choice. I always wait too long to reserve a spot for the Planetarium, so be sure to do that 1st!

EM F — Google review

Had a great time here, we got there shortly after it was open and it was super busy after noon. Lots of things to do, we went everywhere. Did not get to see shows unfortunately but had a good time none the less. Will visit again

Hear me out- we’ve been to over least a dozen museums around the country as part of the ASTC passport program. The OKC museum is HANDS DOWN the absolute best children’s museum I’ve ever been to. We literally spent all day here, opening to close with a quick break. Still didn’t see it all. The kids carnival area especially could have been a whole day. Truly a gem, who knew!

Berk J — Google review

This museum was made for kids. There are so many activities and exhibits to see. My 5 year old had a blast but I was over stimulated lol. With all the hands on activities, I appreciate all the wipes and hand sanitizers throughout the museum. We went on a Saturday and it got really busy around 11. We did have to do some waiting for some activities. The bathrooms are clean and there’s plenty of places to sit. I was told outside food is ok to bring in. Liberty at the planetarium was great. It is pretty pricey but I think it’s worth it.

Zoo

Zoos & Aquariums

The Oklahoma City Zoo is a sprawling 119-acre attraction that houses over 1,900 animals from various habitats. Visitors can enjoy up-close encounters with creatures like sea lions, rhinos, and brown bears on behind-the-scenes tours. For those seeking less intimidating interactions, there are interactive habitats such as the Flamingo Mingle and the Herpetarium Wetlands Walkway.

I loved my visit here. Even though it was packed in the parking lot the Zoo absorbed it with ease. The staff was kind and informative and willing to stop what they were doing and help me. Out of three zoos I've visited (Tulsa, Wichita, and here) I like the OKC Zoo the most due to the layout and the picturesque scenery. The habitat genuinely looked like they cared about the animals well being. I would visit here again.

Robert B — Google review

This zoo is very nice. Very clean and well put together. We are zoo goers as my oldest son loves animals and loves checking out different zoos. It definitely looks like this zoo has pretty good resources. There are also a couple different playgrounds which make it that much more interesting especially for my 5 yr old. We took the zoo train which goes behind the scenes a little bit. They have a state of the art hospital, although we were not able to see any animals in the hospital. I felt like the ticket price was pretty decent as well. This zoo visit was well worth it for us!

Ruth B — Google review

The guest service was very helpful and made our experience much better. There were so many indoor buildings, and places to sit down. Bathrooms were pretty clean, animals were well kept, staff were kind and answered questions we had. Exhibits were very well kept. No trash anywhere in the zoo, very clean. I'm extremely happy with my experience. 10/10 would go again

Harlii — Google review

Great zoo. Focus on wild cats with a with a cats trail. Saw many carnivores! Elephant family was great even though I prefer African elephants lol. Nice view points for all the animals too.

Jamie D — Google review

I feel a bit let down by the experience I had at the OKC zoo. It was very expensive and I feel like it was just underwhelming. Most of the animals were difficult to see, either because the glass was so dirty that you couldn't see past the sun glaring off of the dirt and grime, or because the animals were sleeping or hiding. Or just straight up being kept inside for one reason or another. The poor design of some of the exhibits caused unnecessary crowding, like the herpetarium - it was meant to be a one way, go in and walk around counter clockwise and come out, but due to the narrow walking space and small signs we had to deal with cramped spaces and tight quarters with others. Many people did not see the sign that side one way and were trying to squeeze themselves in the wrong direction, oblivious to their mistake.Just inadequate directional signage in general kept the experience less than pleasant as we had to keep referring to the map to figure out where we were and which direction to go in next. If there were road names for the paths and signs at the crossings, it would have been easier to navigate. The one thing my son enjoyed the most was the petting zoo area, but they really only had goats and I don't feel like that is unique.I also tried to get photos in one of the many photo booths placed around the zoo, however once I had paid and started to pose for the first photo with my son, the screen went back to the starting point and when trying to get back to taking the photos it tried to prompt me to pay for it again. When I checked my card, it had taken my money but we never got our photos. And none of the zoo employees in the area could assist me with getting my money back or getting my photos.I just kind of felt a bit underwhelmed by the experience in general. I've seen better zoos.

Bekah P — Google review

It's a good zoo BUT just take the tour on the carts they drive people around on and let me tell you why. It's way too overly crowded with people walking in your way around every corner, half the animals weren't in their areas or you couldn't see them, it's so massive you will get lost without a map, just to see every animal you'll get in like 10,000 steps and your feet will hurt by the end (trust me). Lastly it's pretty expensive to even just get admission. Then there're all kinds of other features throughout the zoo that you have to pay additional costs to see/do? All of that just really took away from being able to actually enjoy the zoo.

Elizabeth F — Google review

Always an amazing experience! As a teacher, we bring our students every year and they are always so easy to work with! Great group pricing and the place is always so clean and well kept! Thank you everyone at the zoo for always having us and making a great experience for our students!

Heritage museum

Sights & Landmarks

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history of the American West. The museum showcases dioramas, artifacts, and art that document and interpret the rich heritage of cowboy culture. Settled by pioneers during the 1889 Land Run, Oklahoma City has deep roots in cowboy country and is home to former cattle trails, ranches, and birthplace of numerous Western film stars and entertainers.

Don't leave OKC without visiting the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum! This place offers something for everyone, with engaging multi-media displays (including films) and an incredible wealth of artifacts including clothing and personal items from historical figures, famous western performers, and even ancient and traditional items representative of indigenous people groups. I loved the breathtaking outdoor exhibits and the reverence and enthusiasm with which every conceivable aspect of the Old West is preserved and presented. Affordable, accessible, and highly enjoyable!

JD W — Google review

This place is amazing. It's really more than a Western and Cowboy Museum. It is.history of the Native Americans, the early settlers, the military, and the history of Western movies and the rodeo. There is also a lot of art and statues. It's just amazing. It's a huge museum. Plan on an easy 4 hours. Take a break or 2!.

Barbara O — Google review

The ticket price is so cheap considering the sheer amount of artwork, sculptures, clothing, etc that this museum has to offer. Every time I turned a corner there would be something amazing to see and learn about. Great for kids as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive and I loved learning about the artwork. I felt like I could spend all day there. Please don’t skip a visit to this place, you won’t regret it!

I would really be confused for someone to visit OKC and not go to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. This museum is full of rich history of western history of the area and has a robust collection of items in each of its galleries which are staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable people that give you a little more insight on the exhibits. You can easily spend 2-3 hours just learning and enjoying how in depth the museum is in terms of telling the story of the "Old West".

Dwight J — Google review

If you love the old West, Cowboys & Indians you have to go to this museum. It had some of the most beautiful paintings and sculptures of the old and new West. Truly an amazing place to see. The people that worked there were fantastic and were very familiar with the history of everything on display. Having them dress as Cowboys and cowgirls was a nice touch. The Remington paintings and colt gun collections were my favorite. You have to see it to believe it. I highly recommend you take time out of your trip if you’re in the area to visit this wonderful museum.

A wonderful visit, several times for me but the first time for my out of state life long friend. We spent some 5 hours looking at the wonderful items. Well done, well organized and the Docents were very informative!World class! Highly recommend! 😎

We had a great time visiting the Cowboy & Western museum. The exhibits were interesting. I personally enjoyed seeing the vintage clothes, boots, and tools. There was also a nice faux western town with store fronts you can walk through. Overall, it was a great visit.

Jeremy W — Google review

Seriously fantastic museum! I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I was there for about two hours and wished I’d had more time. The artwork, the rodeo section, the Luchese boot exhibit-all of it was just wonderful. My favorite part was the Western performers section. I love a good western and to see all my favorites memorialized there was a movie junkie’s dream. Make sure you take time for all 15 minutes of the short film about the history of westerns, if only to spend time listening to the delicious Sam Elliot narrate it. :-)

Hotel

Casinos & Gambling

The Grand Casino Hotel and Resort is a luxurious facility that offers a variety of dining options as well as a casino, spa and rooftop pool. The hotel is located in downtown Oklahoma City and is within walking distance of several popular attractions.

There are many positive attributes to these place. The restaurants within are all great. They have good food and good prices. The steak house has a dress code and is a little on the higher end for price but the food, service, and atmosphere are well worth the money. The spa has amazing ladies that perform amazing services. They pamper their customers quite well. The actual casino has a huge array of machines and games to be played on the top or bottom level. The hotel is conveniently priced and the rooms are very clean and stocked well. The sky bar and lounge with the pool is the definitely “the cherry on top.” The decor is all very trendy and the staff are all wonderful. Whether you are looking for a getaway or just a night out, this place is a good choice. I highly recommend it!

If I could leave a 0 star review of my experience this evening I would not hesitate to do so. My fiancé and I booked a room over the phone using our voucher sent to us for being members of the player’s club. We have been members of said player’s club for 2 years now. We wanted to have a nice evening playing slots and eating at the steakhouse inside. We arrived to the hotel for check-in and we were told we needed to be 21 (we are both 20). We were told “that’s just the policy and I cannot change it” by an incredibly rude woman who claimed to be the manager. After returning to our vehicle to look up the hotel check-in policy we were still unable to find the information. It did not mention this on the voucher, the website and it also was not mentioned over the phone when booking. We then went back to the desk to ask for help finding the policy and the same woman was unable to answer our question. We then asked her to find it and she claimed she found it but then could not show us. When asking for help yet again she said “do you not own a phone?”. She then claimed we were disrespectful and called hotel security on the 2 of us to have us removed. We are extremely disheartened by this experience and will never be returning to the Grand Hotel and Spa. I have never experienced such rude customer service in my life.

The concert venue was outstanding! We purchased VIP tickets, and the entire experience was seamless. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the venue itself was perfect. Plus, the drink prices were surprisingly reasonable! We had such an amazing time that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. The casino was fantastic, the beds were comfortable, and the food was excellent with plenty of onsite options.

The property is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the spa is amazing! I didn’t book ahead, but Austyn was so sweet to fit me in. I had the Hungarian body treatment with Jenny, and it was pure bliss—half facial, half massage, and 100% relaxing. This unique service is a must-try! Can’t wait to come back!

Stayed at the grand Hotel and casino recently while passing through town with some temperature delicate items of mine. The valet staff, especially Zane, we’re very helpful loading my items into the room, and very friendly, as well as the desk staff. They sent me over to the only place that was still open, the grand stand. Food was simple, but done right, and the local beer option was delicious. The rooms were clean and had a noticeably pleasant smell. Had no idea what to expect, but was overly impressed by this stop

This was the most amazing adventure I've ever had! The casino was awesome! Huge and very clean! The Brazilian barbeque was wonderful! Food and atmosphere was great! The dessert topped off the whole evening, it was to die for!!! Wonderful experience we won't ever forget!!!

Sonya T — Google review

The maze of concrete blocks with no directions makes it incredibly hard to navigate the parking lot. It looks run down and unkept. They also do not recognize ANY tribal IDs. I can leave the country with my ID as a passport, but this casino doesn't recognize them. It's just a scam so they don't have to pay people. Don't spend money at this awful casino. Just down the road there's an incredible, tiny casino in Shawnee, the Kickapoo casino is WAY better.

Heather G — Google review

The room was very modern and clean. The restaurant was nice and the service was very friendly. We were there for the PFC Fight Event. My fighter was listed at the event. This was a business trip.

Nestled within the picturesque grounds of Herbert W. Armstrong College, the Armstrong Auditorium stands as a beacon for performing arts enthusiasts. This stunning venue regularly showcases an array of world-class performances, from captivating ballet to soul-stirring orchestral concerts. As you step inside, you're greeted by a lobby adorned with exquisite Austrian crystal chandeliers and elegant French candelabras that set the stage for an unforgettable experience.

Just watched the new Celtic Throne II Psalter of Ireland performance on-line, and it was INCREDIBLE!!!! The dancers, choreography, music, costumes and special effects were amazing!! The show is a MUST SEE! It is so inspiring and uplifting, with a message of hope that we all need in this world.

Wow! We had never been to the Armstrong Auditorium before & were so impressed! From parking lot security to the young lady who scanned our tickets and the kind, helpful gentleman who showed us to our seats, everyone was great! The auditorium seating is so comfortable with a lovely view of a he stage. We saw Celtic Throne II & every performer was outstanding! The dancers were absolutely brilliant as were the singers! Truly a beautiful, entertaining show! We didn’t want it to end. Definitely will be returning in the future to see what this amazing group of talent has in store for us!

It was definitely worth getting up at 3:45AM in Perth Western Australia to watch this production. The energy and precision from all performers was really inspiring! I honestly can't fathom how they manage their workload; they were ALL wonderful. ALL so talented and the background story set within a really motivating theme made me wish we could have been there in that auditorium - 10 stars!!

Audrey C — Google review

I watched a live stream of the Celtic Throne II production and it was a wonderful experience! The theater itself, from what I could see as the audience took their seats, looked lovely. I would love to visit in person one day. The show was FANTASTIC. The dancers and musicians were a joy to watch. The set backdrop was perfect, showing beautiful and dramatic imagery that totally immersed us in the story. Bravo!

Nate B — Google review

The live stream of Celtic Throne 2 was spectacular!! Every scene was filled with color and excitement. The stick fighting was so precise in timing and action. The singing was inspiring especially the song "Jerusalem". It brought tears to my eyes. The Irish folk songs were lots of fun. Thank you for all the hard work it really was enjoyed by all.

Donna G — Google review

This was our first visit to the Armstrong Auditorium. It was very nice. We loved Celtic Throne II! The theater was beautiful! Even though, because of diet restrictions, I wasn't able to partake of the sweet treats, I thought it was an incredible gesture to offer coffee and pie during intermission. What a special afternoon

Historical landmark

Sights & Landmarks

The Arcadia Round Barn, a striking red structure built in 1898, is a must-see historic landmark located along Route 66. Its unique round design makes it an ideal spot for memorable photos. Beyond its distinctive architecture, the barn houses a museum featuring exhibits and historical information about Arcadia and its significance to the development of Route 66 and Oklahoma.

We were driving Rt. 66 through Oklahoma and seen the round barn. It was really nice with a lot of interesting things to see inside.

William J — Google review

This is a historic attraction along Route 66 in Arcadia. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm daily. Admission is free and you will find a decent size carpark in the back, just exit 66 a block or two over and make way to the back. There are public toilets available as well. The Barn was originally built in 1898. After decades of neglect, it was fully restored with a reconstructed roof in 1992 and is kept in good condition today. You can visit the upstairs where you will see the wooden deck space for fairly large scale events. It is worth a quick look-see.What is most interesting is the ground floor which is setup like a small museum with historical information about the Round Barn, the early days of Arcadia, Route 66 traveller business that the early 20th-century and related points of interest. There are time period artefacts on display that are nice to see as well as a gift shop area which is manned by volunteers.I really enjoyed my 20 minute stop and visit of the Arcadia Round Barn recently. They are doing really good job breathing and keeping alive this interesting bit of early Oklahoma and Midwest history here.

We were visiting Edmond from out of town and a local friend brought us here. It was a very interesting local landmark, with lots of stuff to see and read. And we got to leave a pin on their map!

It’s round. It’s a barn. Joking aside-It’s a great stop on Route 66 that is pretty awesome. Downstairs has history of the barn and the area. This thing is an architectural landmark and it’s great to see it preserved. Upstairs you really get a great look at how the roof was constructed. Farm machinery exhibits outside and bathrooms are clean.

This is a very nice place to stop if you are in the neighbourhood. It is free but you should donate if visiting, we believe. You can walk around the barn outside or visit the museum/store inside. It has a lot of interesting stuff to see.

The Arcadia Round Barn is a stop on the Oklahoma Route 66 passport. On the ground floor is a market with lots of memorabilia. Upstairs has the view of the roof and floor

Such a lovely gem on Route 66! Free to enter and check out and there are so many amazing antique artifacts to check out. Volunteers working in there are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. As a volunteer in my home state of Illinois, it was refreshing to see other energetic and kind volunteers!! So fantastic. And so awesome that it’s preserved and still here!

Absolutely love finding these off the beaten path places! On the Route 66 highway in Warwick. An AMAZING collection! You can also see the 1st plumbed outhouse in Oklahoma. It was used at the service station where the museum now stands! Very cool.

We stopped in on a weekday in May, 2023. A really nice little museum. No, it is not an eat off the floor clean museum with perfect everything. This museum reminds me of your own workshop in a garage. I absolutely loved it.They have a really nice collection of motorcycles and such, that you may not see every day. There are also a lot of dirt bikes that most museums don't normally have a lot of. I viewed a lot of rare bikes that there can't be that many floating around out there. It's too bad we didn't have more time to visit. The museum runs off a donation program. So be sure to help out the cause to keep this nice little museum going.

Another great little Route 66 roadside attraction I'd never heard of till today. Don't let the exterior discourage toy, as the collection is impressive, and the display, museum, and gift shop was trip down memory lane as well!

Seaba Station is a great place. My wife and I traveled Rt66 11 years ago for our honeymoon, and they had just opened. It was pretty awesome. We're doing Rt66 again this summer, and while Seaba Station was pretty cool before, it's even better now. Many more bikes, and a great gift shop. The owner was great and answered all of our questions. Can't wait to go there again when we do Rt66 again in 9 years :-)

Stuart F — Google review

This place really captures the essence of what it's about to travel on Route 66. A quick stop at roadside museum or attraction to gain a little knowledge and get a good photo op is at the heart of the Route 66 travel experience. The Seaba Station Motorcycle Museum fits this billing perfectly. Entire visit took 45 minutes. The museum is located in a cool old service station. Lots of unique motorcycles especially if you are into motocross. Really enjoyed this stop on our trip.Deceptively small on the outside yet so extensive and varied collection on the inside. This is a fascinating place even for non-motorcycle enthusiasts because of the incredible history contained within and so perfectly laid out and labeled. And, to top it off is an out building purported to be the first plumbed toilet in the state of Oklahoma.

Anirudh G — Google review

Stopped in here on a Route66 trip through the area. There are some really great bikes and historic items in there as well as quite a good selection of things for sale. I'd broke an exhaust pipe a few miles from the museum and the proprietor was quick to help out with the break down with some much needed materials and a darn good attitude. Turns out he's a Cannonballer and very familiar roadside fixes. Thanks for the AC and the wire! 😁👍

We love it here! It's smaller than the zoo but so much more interactive. The staff is so nice and informative, you can see how much they care for their animals there. Very fun little thing to do in Stillwater. We loved the different animals! It was clean and organized. Loved the concrete walking path for a stroller. The staff was great- very friendly and attentive. Perfect for kids- not too big but big enough to spend a couple of hours at. Highly recommend!

We did the full experience for our family of 5, and it cost about $110. The full experience was definitely was worth it. We fed parakeets and held a baby kangaroo and an albino boa constrictor and fed several special animals. They have capybara, a kangaroo with a joey, many tortoises, and a beautiful herd of deer. There were many other animals you can view up close (but can’t feed), like otters and foxes and reptiles. They gave each of us a little bucket of food (maybe 2 cups of food for each of us), and we had plenty of leftover. We even stopped at the little snack bar and they had some really cute options, AND they let me read the ingredients for my kid with allergies. We got a caramel apple (they slice it for you), a mashed potato cup, a root beer float and an ice cream cup.We will be back!

We absolutely loved our day at Lost Creek Safari!! The grounds were clean and well maintained. The whole place is paved which was perfect for our stroller and young walking kids. The animals were all close enough to see them and they were so trusting and came close. You can tell they are very well cared for! The variety of animals was so fun as well. We loved the option to pay for a feed cup to get to feed the animals. Highlights for us were the lemurs, otters, reptile barn, kangaroos, and monkeys. The staff were all VERY friendly, genuine, and taught us so much about the animals! Our whole family had a great time and we will absolutely be returning! If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! HIGHLY recommend!!

Public university

Sights & Landmarks

Oklahoma State University, a prominent public institution established in 1890, is renowned for its strong emphasis on athletics, science, and business programs. Situated in the lively city of Stillwater, often referred to as the "Birthplace of Red Dirt Music," the university infuses youthful energy and a vibrant arts scene into the community. The campus itself boasts picturesque spots like Library Lawn, Theta Pond, and Old Central.

It's a great University. Been here for two years and it never ceases to surprise me. A wonderful world away from the rest. Best place for students to hone their skills and learn new ones. For me it's personal you should be here in person to feel the energy of this little university town. You wouldn't believe how happening this place is. Welcome to Oklahoma State University. #gopokes.

Beautiful campus. Profs are top tier, some buildings need updating. Bio facilities are sub par but the academics more than make up for it. Incredible humanities facilities.

Samantha — Google review

What a shame. OSU missed an opportunity for 3rd generation members of our family to attend by butchering their legacy program. I was able to follow in my parent's footsteps through the former legacy program, which allowed me to qualify for in state tuition despite our family residing in Missouri. Fast forward to now, and the legacy program only provides for "reduced" out of state tuition, which is an absolute joke. The reduction doesn't bring tuition anywhere near in state rates. If you ever wonder why so many students from states that border Texas go to Texas state universities, it's because they offer dang near in state tuition rates to students in neighboring states with no legacy program needed. Get a clue OSU as you continue to lose to Texas. Your loss, as 4 potential legacy students will be going (2 have already gone) elsewhere. Like most universities, I'm sure they could care less about 4 students as they'll find plenty of students to attend, but it's still a damn shame to see the idiocy of my Alma Mater!

This former family estate tells the story of the Marland family & their fine art collection.

I can not even begin to explain how amazing this tour was. I have been here twice and will be going again anytime I am in the area. The history is amazing. The home is well preserved and taken care of. Stunning! Employees there are kind and answer any questions about the tour or history.

Overwhelming breathtaking beauty. Architecture in variety from the start to finish. Your better off to take a guided tour so you can get more information (unless you know someone who has worked there or lived in Ponca City their entire life); go into more rooms of the mansion, but also the chapel & Marlins’ wife’s house as well. Walking the grounds can be quite beautiful as well; seeing the statues, the ducks and flowers. To bad they haven’t restored the pool to it’s former glory( that would be definitely a delight & beautiful area for a wedding and special occasion too! 😉

Well kept. Friendly staff. Everything was nice and fancy, and there was a lot to tour. Something to do if your in town, and have free time. Interesting history there. Definitely going back when we go again to Ponca! Wish the gift shop had more, and of course there's a fee to tour the mansion. Enjoyed the experience.

Gorgeous 43,561 square foot mansion built for oil baron E. W. Marland. The house is well-maintained and the grounds are beautiful. The tour is extremely interesting. Hear about the house architecture as well as the tragic story of the family.

We visited the museum on a quiet day in May 2023. Because there were almost no other visitors on site, we were lucky that David, the Executive Director, could take the time to give us a fine guided tour with excellent explanations and exciting stories and we were also allowed to ask lots of questions. Well we were very interested :).So we had a great time with David, learned a lot and were very impressed! There we have had really luck.On this way a big thank you to David for this excellent Friday morning! The museum is very interesting in many ways. The life story of Mr. Marland and his family is remarkable and amazing (and also a little scary and sad), the building is technically as well as stylistically, optically and architecturally exciting, there is a lot to see and you can dive into the past with pleasure and let yourself be touched if you like. Now, yes, we had the best museum guide you could ever wish for. So we would recommend every visitor to take a tour! Really. The museum and its many exhibits and facilities do need their explanations and become all the more interesting. This information cannot be perceived in depth during a short unguided tour - unless you read up on the literature. But even if you go through briefly, it will be impressive for any visitor.About the content: A self-made multi-millionaire builds himself a huge villa with technology that was unique at the time (air conditioning, heating, elevators), international flair (he had craftsmen come from Italy, for example, etc.) and exciting, clever and very detailed architecture. However, the whole object is not dully ostentatious but impresses with a real feel-good atmosphere. The museum doesn't look that big from the outside, but it's huge inside. Our conclusion and recommendation: The museum is definitely always worth a short visit - but we strongly (!) recommend to take your time and enjoy this wonderful impressive museum for two hours during a museum tour.

Karsten G — Google review

A MUST-SEE Oklahoma landmark! The entire place is unbelievable, and likely only surpassed by the governor's mansion in OKC. I recommend a guided tour, but you can do self-tours as well. (same price) Everything from the floor to the ceiling to the exterior and the windows and light fixtures can only be described as stunning!! It's not expensive. Take plenty of pictures and share them with your friends. They will thank you and visit it themselves to see it in person.

What you will find if you ever tour Herculaneum, or the EW Marland Mansion, is that after people are comfortable and well-fed, additional wealth basically is poured into art. Lots of art. Big art, small art. I especially delight in small artful details, and am posting a few pics as examples, but just know that this place is packed with them. Almost anywhere you look, there's something interesting. The Petroleum Hall Of Fame resides on the bottom floor. I view it very differently than the two women who wandered in and commented, "A good old boys' club." They need to read Atlas Shrugged! One of the men on that wall employed my grandpa - he worked for Hughes Oil. Personally I would not be willing to make the sacrifices necessary for my picture to be on that wall, but I appreciate the way of life those guys made possible. EW Marland in particular seems to have been quite generous in funding hospitals and many other things that benefitted all Ponca City residents.Have you seen the large portrait of Lydie? Apparently the artist disliked her, so he painted a serpent in near her feet. But I can't decide if that's also the reason the angle of her leg is so wrong, or if it was just a lack of talent. Either way, I'm surprised the Marlands would hang that portrait. Maybe they never noticed.

Low-key venue offering basic lodging & a waterpark, plus a casino & a lively restaurant.

We drove almost 3 hours to this place for a birthday party and it was very worth it! My son had an amazing time. The lifeguards at the water park did an amazing job and kept everyone safe. All the staff were friendly and the place was very clean!

Jessica W — Google review

Okay. Here’s the run down. My family came to stay for a weekend for the water park and some slots.Rooms - very basic. Nothing special about it. Which is fine but it was pretty dirty. We are talking poop stains in the toilet.Pool - so much fun for the kiddo. 4 slides, a lazy river, and a pretty good sized playground with additional smaller slides. About 1/4 the size of a great wolf lodge. Lifeguards make sure your kids are safe. They do take a 1/2 hour break every few hours which is perfect time to grab a bite at their little cafe. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. No alcoholic beverages. Limited open hours for the water park so go on the weekend.Casino - Oklahoma has ante rules but this casino covers the ante for table games. There are only a handful of tables with only a few games though. Plenty of class 2 and 3 slots. Alcohol was very reasonably priced. Wife and I gambled for a few hours and actually left up about 50 dollars.Restaurant - they have a nice dine in restaurant with pre inflation prices and the food is good too! Hotel serves free breakfast which we didn’t know about so we were pleasantly surprisedArcade - small. About half the games are broken. So about ten working machines for about a dollar per game. Most people are friendly and this place doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Would definitely come back!

Eric C — Google review

They have a new extortion fee of 50c per hand/spin at all table games on the weekend. Imagine getting robbed but before you were robbed the robber told you you had to pay for the privilege. When you ask why they started charging you for the privilege of giving them your money they will tell you that they've always charged an ante fee but they have always just paid it for you. Which I would like to see the proof. What an absolute joke. They are the living equivalent to scam callers now. I liked that place. Think of it this way. If you played 100 spins or roulette. You will have effectively paid them 50.00 to play. Criminals. Like the massive losses from your players wasn't enough.

We stayed in the Sand Castle Suite and it had a very unique layout that accommodated 6 adults and several kids! The breakfast had a big array of options, ranging from hot to cold.I will say the waterpark is more for like 5-10 year olds.

Brianna C — Google review

I was nervous to stay here after reading some of the reviews (unclean rooms and even bugs). However, our room was spotless. We had a queen room with bunks. Perfect for our large family. We were able to check in at 3 pm but played in the water park all day before that. The life guards are attentive, the snack shack food was pretty decent. We ate a flat water for dinner, our waiter was wonderful and kind and helpful. We went to the arcade after and Betty, the lady who works in there is so sweet and kind. We ate the complimentary breakfast before leaving, eggs, sausage, wafflew, bagles, cereal. Milk, juices and pop.Oh also, if the thin blankets on the bed aren't warm enough, front desk has thicker warmer brown blankets and the ladies up there were also very kind.

Lea P — Google review

My family and I stayed over the weekend, thankfully only one night as I could not stand staying a single night more. We had 5 rooms total, 2 being suites. ALL the rooms were disgusting, trash on the floors, food amd drinks left behind, food in the couch cushions, urine stain on the fold out couch mattress, stains on the couches and carpet, bathroom mirror was dirty, hair all over the place, food crumbs and hair ON the sheets, stains on all the sheets, comforters and towels. It was absolutely disgusting. When I called down to ask for more towels as we only had 1 and sheets, bedding and pillows we were met with a rude tone and hung up on. When staff arrived with 2 towel, a flat sheet and a fitted sheet I made the comment about not having pillows or blankets and the response was "well I don't know what you want".The arcade was out of playing cards, they had no bracelets for the water park.

Erin P — Google review

Hotel has really lowered their standards lately. The rooms and entire hotel was dirty. Trash everywhere, floors not swept up, tables dirty and just felt crusty. Under the bunk beds were littered with trash, toilet and shower obviosly not wiped clean, floors not swept up. Just gross. I usually love this place, but with littles it was nasty.

McKenzie P — Google review

Gambled here many times in the casino but this was my first time staying in the hotel. Got a king sized room in the Beachfront side. Room was ok, nothing fancy. Somewhat clean. Was still dirty on the bathroom counter and random hairs left also. The carpet is gross and I wouldn’t walk around f on it barefoot because it made my feet black. The bed was super stiff but the pillows were nice. No mini fridge. Called ahead and was told they would put one in the room for us, but wasn’t there.LOTS and I mean LOTS of unruly kids running around with grumpy parents not supervising them. Was a kids birthday party happening when we were staying and they were letting their kids throw candy wrappers on the ground in the waterpark. Just because you brought your kids for a birthday party doesn’t mean they can act and do whatever they want. Screaming kids, crying kids, not a fun time at all.The waterpark is not fun for adults whatsoever. Two larger slides for adults but that’s it. Just a bunch of kids and their parents who looked visibly grouchy. The water was also freezing. The teenager lifeguards also acted like they hate their lives and it showed. The guy working the breakfast buffet was super nice though! The arcade just needs closed. Many of the machines broken down and there wasn’t much to start with. The token card machine also broken down. Photo Booth in the lobby broken down too. The man and lady in the arcade were both super friendly though. The breakfast had a lot of items but the biscuits were rock hard. The eggs tasted weird and they only had two waffle irons for a ton of people. Just like the waterpark the parents were letting the kids run rampant in the breakfast area and the parents had no manners whatsoever either. Seriously parents, do better!Kids yelling and running up and down the hallways at all hours too. The microwaves in the vending areas were beyond disgusting. Most the staff at the hotel desk seemed like they hate their job. Except the very nice maintenance man, he gets a 10/10. No papers available in the morning like advertised because as I was told, “the parents let the kids use them as coloring books” smh.The casino slots were super tight. Lots of empty alcohol and drink cups sitting around. Lots of overflowing ashtrays and ashes on the machines. Was playing electronic roulette and this girl who thought she was the main character sitting next to me was complaining about me smoking. (Yes I’m talking about you crazy fake eyelash girl!) It’s literally a casino, what do you expect?! Also, a lot of tweekers in the casino but that’s everywhere in this area. Good selection of games though, including red screens.Food is mediocre at best. I recommend saving money and driving into Ark City to eat out. Had dinner at the restaurant in the casino. It was ok but no worth the prices. No room service for the hotel rooms.Overall if the room wasn’t free and comped by the casino I wouldn’t have stayed here. It’s definitely become a place to let your kids run rampant while the parents get drunk and gamble. I’ve been on a lot of vacations and even cruises and NEVER seen such blatant disregard for their children’s behavior.I don’t think I will stay here again. 2/5 stars.

El Dorado State Park is situated adjacent to the El Dorado Reservoir and is primarily focused on offering camping and cabin lodging facilities. The park boasts of its vast, pristine lake that exhibits sheer beauty and cleanliness. During summers, it transforms into an exciting spot for activities like fishing and floating to beat the heat. While some areas of the lake have trees in the water, it does not deter visitors from enjoying their time here.

Really enjoyed our stay here, we camped for 4 nights and it was beautiful 😍Lakeside sites lots of birds to watch and it's very clean and well maintainedWe'll be back 😁

Like the lake and surroundings. People in the office are friendly but some of the rules here for camping are outrageous though. As well as the prices.

Water was low, but still really nice to visit... lots rocks and scenery to photograph

Brian — Google review

I love this lake because of its size, cleanliness, and beauty. I would recommend everybody to visit this lake. Maybe come flooded during the Spring but in the summer it is a fun place to be. Not a fan of the trees in the water in some parts of the lake but I often enjoy fishing and floating in the lake to keep cool. Has a fairly good sized Marina And plenty of camping spots for any kind of camp or whether it's just for the day or for the whole weekend.

Eric T — Google review

It was our first time at El Dorado State Park. There are lots of areas to explore and we all loved the lake. It was perfect to take a short swim on 103° day!

Amy — Google review

Enjoy coming to El Dorado lake so handy when traveling South. Check in is not easy. The self check in should be in each campground . Could be made easier.

Steve W — Google review

Just spending the night while I travel through. Aww showers, yes, and they say laundry also? Won't check that out. The lake is nice and it is clean. Your shower house has an open roof but the water is not too hot or cold. It is nice. I would come here again.

M. S — Google review

It is a pretty State Park, with grass around the lake. We swam in the warm, muddy lake to cool off from the humidity and skeeters. The camp host was not to be found, but he certainly found us after 9:30 pm (do your job at a proper hour, or wait!).Site 44 had a fish prep station that was falling apart, and a picnic bench that when sat on, flexed and bent. When the camp host decided to come collect $24 for the night, he invited himself to sit on it (with all our food and such.... In my "kitchen"). His response "oh, this bench isn't good; go ahead and drag yourself a better one over". The street light kept on all night at a campground was an especially lovely touch... What a joke.Bathroom was clean, but couldn't lock the stall doors because they were broken. Paid $24 to park in the grass and eat on broken gear/equipment. I give it two stars because the grass was mowed and I got to see a live armadillo. :/Sprayed herbicide 20' from my kids and camp.... I'll be contacting folks regarding this situation.

11,000-acre nature preserve housing a visitor center, accessible hiking trails & historic buildings.

Always a wonderful hiking experience. Did 11 miles saw only 6 people, usually see none. Hopefully pictures and reviews like this will continue to motivate people to get outside and enjoy the prairie. They have 40 miles of trails, you can take short or long tails.

Perry S — Google review

We heard that Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is an excellent place for stargazing. And indeed it was so amazing! This place is two hours from where we live and was so worth a quick day trip. Go during the new moon and when there are no clouds at night. If you have never experienced the night sky it will take your breath away. Also, it will take a minute to adjust to being in such darkness...in fact it might be a little scary at first but once you get adjusted you will be mesmerized! We took these pics on 1/28/25 about 7pm using a google pixel phone's night feature. It's the best we could do to capture the stars. We must have seen thousands of stars but can't tell by our pics. Go to their Facebook page and click on the photo tab to find better night sky pics.

Visited August 2024. Beautiful drive up from Wichita north of the turnpike on the Flint Hills ‘scenic highway’. Super easy place to get to, and hiking amongst the bison in a natural prairie reserve is just so cool, especially for a native Kansas guy like myself. You can hike as long (or as little) as you like. Highly recommended!

Trent S — Google review

Lots of trails through the grass and a chance to see Bison. Great visitor center and friendly Rangers and volunteers. The stone buildings are impressive.

Andrew E — Google review

The area had some historic buildings such as a schoolhouse, barn, and a farmhouse. The area also had some great views of the Kansas sunrise. I noticed that sunflowers were blooming since it was early September when I went.

Travis T — Google review

Visited the home and out buildings portion. It was too hot to hike for us that day. Beautiful area. Interesting history. One of the US Bison herds is located here. You do need to go hiking to see those, I believe. Something like 40 different hiking trails are available.

Elizabeth M — Google review

It was very nice going out here. The visitor center is clean with lots of information on the area's plants and animals. The park ranger inside was very polite. We enjoyed our walk on the trails, and it was cool to see bison free roaming. I also appreciated the signage warning visitors to keep a respectful distance. The meadowlarks were very vocal during our visit which was just perfect for a day outside in Kansas.

I had a marvelous time. The Animals are very active since the weather has warmed up. The public space is so clean Hat's off to all of the workers. Nice job 😊😊😍

The David Traylor Zoo is one of the smallest zoos in the United States accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). It boasts naturalized exhibits showcasing both native and exotic birds and animals, and is renowned for its extensive landscaping. The serene atmosphere is enhanced by the well-maintained plants and water features, and convenient parking adds to the zoo’s accessibility. During our visit, there were no concession stands available, though a drink vending machine was on-site. This charming zoo free and is perfect for a leisurely hour-long stroll. However, it would be great to see some animals housed in larger, more naturalistic enclosures with more viewing windows instead of fences.Photos taken by: Chloe Jewell Photography

Love this zoo! Pretty Small but super neat and worth the stop even if it weren’t free. The lynx is so playful and cute. Definitely my favorite animal there since I didn’t get to see the raccoon as out of the few that I’ve seen so far refuse to let me be their father and come outside.. anyways the Mountain Lion is the biggest one I’ve seen yet and was more traumatizing than the one that tried to eat me at the last zoo.. ( for legal reasons that’s a joke)

The Evel Knievel Museum is a tribute to the legendary daredevil, showcasing his journey to fame and his death-defying motorcycle jumps that resulted in numerous broken bones. Visitors can explore authentic memorabilia, including his iconic bikes, performance leathers, and battered helmets. The 13,000 sq ft museum opened in June 2017 and features exhibits dedicated to Knievel's famous jumps. The first floor of the museum is built around his restored Mack Truck "Big Red.

Growing up as a preteen and teen in the 70’s, Evel was a larger than life daredevil. I remember watching the televised jumps, especially the terrifying Caesar’s Palace and Snake River Canyon jumps. And his interviews, he was always calm and cool. Afterwards we would go outside, get on our bikes and jump over homemade ramps and do wheelies.Unfortunately, the museum is being relocated to Las Vegas. I’m looking forward to revisiting it in its new location, I’m sure it will be bigger and better than ever!

Mike S — Google review

Very cool museum of my boyhood idol! Great exhibits, well done! A comprehensive collection of Evel and his life-long stunts and shows. A must see!

Dan L — Google review

Glad I went before it moves to Las Vegas ! Lots of memories from when I was a kid. Well put together displays , videos and news clippings. Also bought the motorcycle action figure combo , glad I did.

K S — Google review

Added this stop at the last minute since we had extra time in town. Nice museum and had some good displays. Probably not someplace you’d want to stop unless at least one of your group has fond memories of growing up watching Evel. Overall we had a good time and my kids enjoyed it even though they had no idea what it was all about going in. I passed on my memories from my childhood so they could see what an icon he was. We were there about an hour and a half so it is overall a well done museum full of one of a kind memorabilia and a good place to stretch your legs if your passing through town.

Chris E — Google review

Went in Topeka next to the last day before it moves to Vegas. Awesome place. If you were a kid in the 1970's and remember him on TV, it brings back the glory years and the stupid stuff you did on your bicycle because of it. The bikes are awesome and the virtual reality jump experience was a hoot. Sounds like it will be even bigger and better after the Vegas move. I look forward to checking it out again sometime in the future when it is all up and running to see what all gets added to the collection. Can you say road trip?!!!

Mark R — Google review

Great information about an American Legend. Saw both his jumps in Hutchinson Kansas at the State Fair and immediately went to building ramps and jumping our bicycles. Many bent rims n upset parents of the neighborhood kids

Bill W — Google review

This was a good experience. It wasn't to expensive and it had a lot of memorabilia. It had his motorcycles and his truck that have been refurbished. It started when he was a child and went through his death. It is all cataloged and talks about what he did and there was even videos of his jumps and wrecks. I liked how it really focused on him and not the rest of his family. It had some things from my childhood as in toys and even a Wheaties box. :-) It was also a beautiful buliding that it was in.

Chad M — Google review

The test sky cycle is on display here ( not the one Evel rode in) along with a bunch of other cool stuff . This is part of the EVEL KNIEVEL HAT TRICK which consists of also visiting his grave in Butte Montana and the jump site off of US Hwy 93 in Twin Falls Idaho. You must do this on a Harley Davidson and do all 3 stops on 1 trip .

The Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park is located in Topeka, Kansas and commemorates the landmark Supreme Court case that ended racial segregation in public schools. The former Monroe Elementary School, one of the city's segregated schools, now serves as a civil rights interpretive center and National Historic Site.

I finally had time to visit and I'm so glad I did! I will return again. All the Park Rangers and volunteers were very supportive and helpful. I learned a great deal and I know my next visits I'll pick up more information. Their bookstore/gift shop is small but I found my book to describe what I just experienced, my NPS coin (no penny smasher), bumper sticker, t shirt and NPS tote. Oh and magnet. It's free, so I didn't "get to show" my America the Beautiful pass but they had a donation box to help support the Park, which I did. It's important to support our National Parks and historical sites.I will support it as often as I am in Topeka.

A must see/do for any person interested in history, civil rights, or government. So much to learn here so that history does not repeat itself. It is sad that this is part of our American history, yet so important to learn from. All the exhibits are so well done. Staff was also excellent. Nice gift shop. Free parking lot across the street. No entry fee.

This place is amazing! I took my own family a couple years back and was so impressed that I have taken a busload of students ever since. The last 2 years my group has been with Ranger Lawson who has been fantastic. His deep knowledge of the history and ability to connect with the high schoolers is remarkable. He asks very engaging questions that get the students thinking critically. I also learn a ton from him! Excellent exhibits and staff. This is a true treasure for Kansas....please appreciate it!

Upon entering, I quickly realized that this museum does not mince words nor sugar-coat the history of segregation and racism in public schools in the U.S. The museum is housed in an old school building with many of the rooms intact and well-preserved. The 5-video series in the auditorium are worth a watch if you have 30 minutes to spare.

This was a super cool stop on a long trip we took for vacation. We just stopped for a break from riding in the car to stretch our legs and wasn't expecting it to be as great as it was. It was educational and interesting and didn't cost a thing. It's a great place to take your kids to teach them about history and loving others. We all wished we had a little more time to spend there. I would definitely recommend taking some time to explore this museum.

When in Topeka, don't miss the Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center, home to the iconic Kansas State Capitol. This historic building houses the state's executive and legislative branches and offers guided tours that explore its chambers, murals, and library. The Capitol underwent a 14-year renovation completed in 2014, making it a shining monument to Kansas history. One of its unique features is the towering dome, which offers breathtaking views and is one of the few capitols in the U.S.

Kansans should be proud of their Capitol building. After walking through a very unique, dungeon-like basement, you ascend to beautiful, ornate stories with a stunning rotunda in the middle. Friendly staff encouraged visitors to take pictures and walk into the House chamber (as it was out of session). A definite surprise in a positive way.

Jean N — Google review

The Kansas State Capitol is an incredible place to visit! The building itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture, detailed murals, and an impressive dome that you can actually climb if you’re up for it.The guided tours are informative and give a fascinating look into Kansas history and government.I was especially impressed by the artwork inside, including the famous John Steuart Curry murals. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and everything was very well maintained. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or just want to enjoy great views of Topeka from the top of the dome, this is a must-see stop!

Nasser D — Google review

This is a beautiful building with elegant architecture. The museum at the ground floor makes it stand apart from many other capitol buildings. The museum has a rustic feel and informs the visitors of Kansas' legislative history. There was even a real dinosaur fossil. A large part of the capitol building is accessible to the public, including the chamber of the house of representatives. A must visit if you are in Topeka.

Praghalathan K — Google review

I love visiting state capitals. They just don't build stuff like this anymore. Nice visitor center and museum in the bottom floor with a cute little gift shop. The Dome was gorgeous and definitely peek into the House and Senate rooms.

Virginia S — Google review

We enjoyed our tour of the Capitol and the dome tour. The dome tour was not an easy climb but worth it. The Capitol overall is one of the nicer ones. The interior is impressive and it’s worth your time and energy to climb multiple floors of stairs.

Beautiful building with some of the friendliest staffers I would ever met. I highly recommend stopping in to see the amazing artwork and architecture!

Jordan K — Google review

I went with my mom to get her birth certificate, we were there for about 30 minutes. So much faster and cheaper to pick it up in person. Took a picture of the actual capitol building, haven't seen it up close or been inside since I was around 7-ish. I must say it looked a lot bigger 32 years ago LOL.

Sasha F — Google review

What a truly incredible public resource! The entire building is gorgeous and there are amazing pieces of art, historical items, and more throughout. The architecture and décor are genuinely phenomenal, and you can ascend to the top of the dome (if you can handle the heights!). All of the staff were kind, warm, and well-informed. We spent several hours there, and would have returned were we locals! The State Library alone is worth hours of exploration.

Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Rooms are big and had a huge bathtub. Indoor pool and hot tub were fantastic. Beautiful courtyard. Good variety of slots. A couple restaurants, breakfast buffet was awesome. Employees could be more enthusiastic. Parking lot makes NO sense. Overall a great casino, one of the best in the 4 states area.

This was only my second time here. The first one was for an afternoon of gambling. This time, it was for an employee event for Evergy. We were served in a convention room, and everything was lovely, and the servers did an amazing job. We got a room for the night, and the room did not disappear. It was spacious and had a lovely balcony & a huge bathtub. This will be a regular spot to get away for a weekend. They have a nice pool area with a nice hot tub. Hopefully, we will get to take advantage of it next time.

This Resort/Casino is truly a hidden gem! The rooms are spotless, and the casino itself is spacious, offering a great atmosphere whether you're a gambler or not. Even if you're not into gambling, I highly recommend taking advantage of the day spa and jacuzzi — it's the perfect way to relax and unwind. It’s an ideal spot for a quick getaway, especially if you live nearby. We’re already planning to bring our children down for a quick spring break trip. It’s a great place to escape for a little while and enjoy some quality time with loved ones!

My wife and I used to love this place. But we don’t win up anymore. Haven’t won there for years. We live about an hour away so we come up when they run promotions. But it’s kind of a waste of our time as we don’t win. We went up to watch the 38 special concert but people were saving seats and it was so crowded and congested. There was no order at all to the concert . It wouldn’t take much for them to have the chairs numbered and aisles numbered and seats purchased and then have the rest open and standing in the back. It would be common sense. And easy to do. We went for a refund and the Manager, laughed at us and said well it’s a rock concert. Which we understand but it’s a rock concert for people who are in their 50s and 60s and up generally. Most of us need a part time seat 😂 Bad backs. There were a few other peoples that also got a refund. It’s unfortunate because we were really looking forward to the concert. However, Bonnor Springs and others has an amphitheatre with seating. So we will just stick with them for concerts.

Security yelled and was threatening to my teens when we went to eat. They were being respectful and we had simply walked in the front door and stopped to be checked in. We needed a room in the area as we drove from Ms to visit my Mom in the hospital and deal with some paperwork. At check in the male person who was working the desk and seemed to have either a severe allergy issue and several physical tics or a coke problem as he sniffed snorted rolled his eyes and huffed about the bother it was to do his job. A lady walked up during all this and started yelling at him the guy was rude to her and another man stepped in to take care of her. I paid and went on about my day as I was there drove 12 hrs and its location was convenient for where I needed to be. We went to the pool the same security came in and told us we had to leave but it wasn’t after hrs and I was already putting my shoes on to leave. I really don’t understand why we were treated like it was an inconvenience we were there 🤷🏼‍♀️I spoke to customer service about it marriannah and jade they listen to me and I filed a complaint. The food was old price was $136 for 5 people , the flavor was equal to hospital food, I got a slice of Boston cream pie and the cake felt like toast it had been setting out so long. The 2 slivers of flank steak were well cooked. Actually it was the best thing about the whole experience during our time at Prairie Band Casino & Resort.

Have not stayed in the hotel yet but we have visited the casino a few times. We like the mix of older and new machines. A large non-smoking area helps keep the casino smelling better than any in the KC area. Plenty of staff on hand to keep slots in working order. We would like to see the Embers grill up its game in terms of quality and variety of dishes.

My wife and I went out and had a great time. It's just a short drive from KC. The casino was very clean and the staff was amazing. We had an excellent meal at the steakhouse. We would highly recommend a visit and we will be going back soon!
